When government proposes spreading more money around, it’s not hard to get people to buy in. Thus, it’s not surprising that Gov. Rick Scott’s idea of significantly boosting funding to the state’s primary economic development program — while “streamlining” the process for approving million-dollar subsidies to businesses — has gained the support of many municipal and county officials across Florida.
But before the supposed gravy train starts rolling, it’s important that some questions get answered.
