STATEMENT: Gillum Files FOIA Request with Clemency Board over Legal Actions
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum released the following statement today:
“Moments ago I filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the Florida Clemency Board so Floridians can understand why Rick Scott, Pam Bondi, Adam Putnam and Jimmy Patronis continue spending public funds defending this Jim Crow-era system — despite never having held a public meeting to discuss legal action since Judge Walker’s ruling. The Judge left little doubt in his ruling, calling our system “fatally flawed” — yet even today Attorney General Bondi is filing legal actions without a formally-noticed meeting.”
