Among the many issues that will be scrutinized in the Orlando shootings is how many options club-goers had to escape from the Pulse nightclub as Omar Mateen shot more than 100 people, with dozens of others held hostage.
10Investigates, along with its investigative network partners at TEGNA, looked into how well emergency exits were inspected and maintained at the club. But Orlando Fire Rescue wouldn’t turn over public records Monday, an apparent violation of Florida state law.
