A Florida House committee looking into Visit Florida’s spending on tourism promotion is going to court to force a Tallahassee-based television producer to divulge financial details of nearly $12 million in taxpayer-funded payments to underwrite a Food Network show featuring famed gourmet chef Emeril Lagasse.
House lawyers are demanding that MAT Media owner Pat Roberts reveal six contracts linked to the production of “Emeril’s Florida,” a weekly show that features Lagasse visiting the state’s top restaurants, resorts, festivals and other culinary events.
