TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — A Tallahassee judge is ordering Florida Gov. Rick Scott to hand over copies of his travel schedule after the governor’s office tried to contend the information is confidential.
Circuit Judge Charles Dodson gave the Scott administration 10 days to produce copies of his schedule running from July 20 of this year until Oct. 31. The information must include his campaign and fundraising schedule as well as anything related to his official duties. Scott is running for U.S. Senate.
John Tupps, a spokesman for Scott, said the governor would appeal the ruling. He said handing over the information would create a “security risk.”
