A Senate committee today unanimously passed a bill that would close the records on personal information held in connection with hunting licenses and certifications, including those individuals who apply for bear hunting permits.
“If you’re a crook, and you want a gun, one of the best places to find it is to look in the database of who owns a hunting license,” said Sen.
