Gov. Rick Scott’s battle with Florida hospitals has taken the form of legislation and the head of his Commission on Healthcare and Hospital Funding released a draft letter Monday urging lawmakers to endorse the proposed bill.
The commission has compiled much of its work since May into a measure that puts a host of new “transparency” demands on hospitals.
Billing information, performance outcomes of medical procedures and financial data would have to be available through hospital community relations departments and a website, under the proposal. [Read More]
